Dear friends and colleagues: We are currently looking for a new chief editor because our last editor Professor Gutiérrez Coto renounced due to family and health reasons. We will communicate with you as soon as we have a new team working. Caribe is an academic journal that publishes scholarly articles, essays, notes, interviews, and book reviews in Spanish and English about the Spanish-speaking countries in the Caribbean area: Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Republic of Colombia, Venezuela, as well as Central America. Caribe debuted in 1976 at University of Hawaii under the direction of Matías Montes Huidobro. After December 1998, Caribe continued to be published biannually during the Winter and Summer by Armando González-Pérez (Marquette University) and Jorge Febles (University of North Florida). Since Summer 2016, Caribe is edited by Amauri Gutierrez Coto, Assistant Professor of Spanish at Lafayette College. All issues are available for purchase while supplies last. Caribe is published twice a year (Winter and Spring).
